Aviation Within the Wider Structure

Our Role

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

We work alongside the family’s existing team, so aviation fits their objectives quietly and without friction.

Aviation risk review. An independent view of the risks specific to owning and operating an aircraft:

operational, regulatory, jurisdictional, maintenance, operator and asset-value risk. It is the aviation piece of the picture your own advisors need.

Coverage. We are based in Malta, with working coverage across Europe and well beyond. Aircraft cross borders, so the structure, the operator and the oversight have to move with them.

From aircraft selection to full ownership, Pickajet delivers independent aviation consulting for individuals and corporations seeking expert guidance in aircraft acquisition, management, and resale.

We Are Paid To Protect the Buyer, Not To Close the Sale

Most firms calling themselves aviation advisors are compensated on the sell side. Their fee depends on a transaction closing, which means their incentive is aligned with the seller, the manufacturer, or the deal itself, not with you.

Pickajet operates exclusively on the buy side. We are engaged and compensated by the buyer, independent of whether or when a transaction concludes. Our advice carries no pressure to close, because closing is not how we are paid. This is not a positioning statement. It is a structural fact about how our fees work, and it is the reason our recommendations can include walking away from an aircraft, an operator, or a jurisdiction when it does not serve the client.

Why Advisory Requires More Than Sales Experience

Evaluating an aircraft acquisition requires more than knowledge of the market. It requires the ability to assess mission scope and performance against the buyer's actual operational profile, understand jurisdictional and regulatory oversight across the relevant registries, and structure a governance model for ongoing management once the aircraft is delivered.

Our team includes in-house legal counsel and a flight dispatcher with a decade of operational experience, supported by EASA-recognised compliance expertise. This is not outsourced on a per-deal basis. It is embedded in every mandate from the outset.

We evaluate every acquisition across four dimensions: mission and performance fit, regulatory and jurisdictional oversight, ongoing management and monthly operating structure, and long-term asset governance. Few firms in this space are equipped to assess all four. Most are equipped to assess none of them and rely on the manufacturer's own sales material instead.

Our Ecosystem

Every mandate draws on a network built over a decade, spanning legal and fiscal structuring, certified maintenance and airworthiness oversight, and jurisdictional expertise across Malta, Switzerland, and other aviation-relevant registries.

OUR ADVISORY SCOPE

Aircraft Acquisition Consulting

The choice of registry and the oversight each brings, assessed against how the aircraft will actually be used.

Operating Model

Whether the aircraft is operated privately, placed on charter, or run by a management company, and what each means for cost, liability and regulatory standing.

AOC and operator

The operator and the AOC the aircraft sits under are among the biggest factors in how well the asset is looked after. We assess both independently, before the structure is agreed.

Whole-of-life cost.

Running costs, reserves and exit considered at the start, not discovered later.

DIRECT ACCESS. TRUSTED INDUSTRY RELATIONSHIPS.

Our network extends across manufacturers, certified maintenance providers, management and operating companies, and legal, tax, and financing counsel spanning the jurisdictions our clients operate in. This access provides earlier visibility into delivery schedules, technical data, and operational performance than the open market affords. It does not alter our compensation or create obligation toward any counterpart. We are paid by the buyer, not by transaction outcome, and we advise accordingly, including when the right answer lies outside this network entirely.

Ownership Requires Discipline

Independence

We do not represent manufacturers or hold aircraft inventory. Our advice remains fully aligned with the client’s interests.

No Conflicts

We operate without structural conflicts or hidden incentives. Our remuneration is agreed transparently from the outset.

Governance

Aircraft ownership demands structured oversight beyond delivery. We approach each mandate with long-term discipline and lifecycle strategy in mind.
