For a first purchase, the structure chosen before delivery shapes cost, liability and flexibility for as long as the aircraft is held.
Your lawyer and your tax advisor are essential to an aircraft purchase. Neither can be expected to know how an aircraft is registered, operated, maintained and chartered day to day, and the structure has to work in practice, not only on paper.
We do not replace your advisors. We make their work aircraft-specific. We are engaged and compensated by the buyer, not by the closing of a sale.
What We Assess
Registry and Jurisdiction
The choice of registry and the oversight each brings, assessed against how the aircraft will actually be used.
Operating Model
Whether the aircraft is operated privately, placed on charter, or run by a management company, and what each means for cost, liability and regulatory standing.
AOC and operator
The operator and the AOC the aircraft sits under are among the biggest factors in how well the asset is looked after. We assess both independently, before the structure is agreed.
Whole-of-life cost.
Running costs, reserves and exit considered at the start, not discovered later.
