Private jet travel has become more accessible than ever. With so many platforms, apps, and concierge companies offering to arrange a jet, it can be difficult for clients to understand who is actually behind their flight. The truth is simple. In private aviation, expertise is not optional. It is the difference between precision and guesswork.

The Two Worlds (Private Jet Broker vs Concierge)

  • Concierge Companies

Concierge firms are excellent at lifestyle management, securing last-minute restaurants, hotels, or experiences. But when it comes to private aviation, many of them act as intermediaries rather than specialists. They often forward your request to multiple brokers or operators without verifying aircraft performance, compliance, or operational feasibility. The result can be delays, hidden fees, and in some cases, cancellations when things do not go as planned.

  • Aviation Brokers

An experienced aviation broker lives and breathes the operational side of flight. They understand aircraft performance, slot coordination, airport restrictions, and safety standards. Every quote is vetted directly with licensed operators under EASA or FAA regulation.A professional broker protects the client’s safety, time, and wallet, not just their itinerary.

A Real Example: Sion to Biarritz

A client once requested a flight from Sion, Switzerland, to Portugal. They reached out both to Pickajet and to a concierge company based in the United States.

Because we work directly with vetted operators, our price was slightly lower. But the real difference came down to expertise. The client wanted to travel with surfboards.

Knowing the limitations of certain aircraft, we explained that surfboards would not fit in a light jet and presented three options:

  1. A light jet for passengers only with surfboards shipped separately

  2. A midsize jet that could fit boards up to one metre

  3. A large jet that could accommodate everything in one trip

The concierge company ignored those constraints and quoted an unsuitable aircraft. The client in this case still decided to book through the concierge.

On the day of the flight, bad weather was forecasted in Sion prevented departure. 24 hours before departure, the concierge cancelled the booking outright with no alternatives or recovery plan.

Meanwhile, the client’s personal assistant contacted us. Within hours we had proposed a ground transfer from Sion to Geneva and secured a new departure slot from Geneva, keeping the same arrival time in Portugal. Even though the client ultimately postponed the trip, the contrast was clear. The concierge arranged a flight. We managed a mission.

So who would you trust? A private jet broker vs your concierge?

The Lesson

Private aviation is not just about finding an aircraft. It is about foresight, compliance, and real-time decision making.

A concierge can offer convenience. A broker provides confidence.

We combine certified aviation knowledge with personal service to ensure that every flight is safe, transparent, and tailored. Because in this business, peace of mind is worth more than any upgrade.
